What would it take for me to actually get this up an running??? Open Cart? Or do I just need hosting..install... then boom get to editing this sucker?

I tested out the cart function and realize there isn't a credit card or merchant function. Is that easily applied? Is there a plugin or commerce cart that needs to be applied to the site to get functionality like that?

Generally this is not a theme/skin issue. Credit card payments can be handled by Paypal. Also here you can purchase offline processor:

Gold cart can be integrated with Authorize.net too. There is many solutions.
